This unique electrochemical cell design uses a porous electrode flow-through (PEFT) cell to disinfect and purify water supplies. The cell produces chlorine from naturally-present chloride ions in the water supply to oxidise and precipitate out metal contaminants, while simultaneously disinfecting the water from microbial contamination. It achieves this with very low electricity running costs and no chemical additives.
